Fig Tree

He told his gardener to cut it down. ‘I’ve waited three years and there hasn’t been a single fig!’ he said. ‘Why bother with it any longer? It’s taking up space we can use for something else.  Luk.13:7

What does the fig tree represent? An individual person? A local church? Often it is someone else, but not me ... As a preacher I often wonder about the effectiveness of sermons, or even what we study in school lessons on Saturday. How many years is God so patient with us? "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."   Heb 4: 7
